A Study of Target Zone #2: New Families Buying and Rehabbing Homes
While all 4 targeted neighborhoods in Oswego are steadily improving, Target Zone #2 is a target area that has particularly high velocity. Since the ORA work began in earnest in Spring 2014, multiple families have bought homes in or near the Renaissance Blocks. In addition, several families have bought former rental properties and/or distressed properties and have rehabbed them into single family homes, and taken up residence. And lastly, some very distressed rental properties have been purchased by developers and converted to higher end rentals for professional employees from nearby businesses.
